Hello and welcome to another episode of the this dude thinks podcast. I am Steve and with me as always is Patrick and we're just a couple of dudes talking about dude things from a dude perspective, dude.
We’ve designed this podcast for all to experience the perspectives of dudes, Because in this day and age it can seem hard to find masculine, common sense, viewpoints. We’re confident, what can be is true, merit-based equality; and what has been, wasn’t so bad. So, let us unburden ourselves of the woke mind virus and learn from one another.
If you want to know more about us, you can find our inaugural episode in your podcast app, or on this dude thinks on Substack.
For this weeks episode we are going to explore why the Jewish diaspora has been so successful throughout world history despite its near endless persecution. And in particular at this moment, where we see the storm clouds gathering on left and right (but most especially the left) with the Jewish people in their crosshairs.
We’ve included some links below to some history, population statistics, etc., but this one really came to a conclusion neither Steve nor I expected. And we hope it gives you something to think about this week.

From Thomas Sowell, it’s quite simple actually, why Antisemitsm exists. Essentially Jews must fail, or we must learn from their example.

Meaning and the Necessity of Theology - New Discourses
"…without theology, which Universities could merely assume would be present in their beginning, other sciences less suited to the task would take up theologizing and would do so poorly." (New Discourses)

"While they may have initially been divided in terms of ethnic or class status, over time European immigrants were united in Whiteness. For example, early Irish, Italian, and Jewish immigrants were not considered White, but they “became” White as they assimilated into the dominant culture. Reflecting on the social and economic advantages of Whiteness, critical race scholar Cheryl Harris (1993) coined the phrase “Whiteness as property.” This phrase captures the reality that being perceived as White carries more than a mere racial classification. It is a social and institutional status and identity imbued with legal, political, economic, and social rights and privileges that are denied to others." (p. 122)
